The state of New York finally recognized the change of our organization from the old name “Global Deaf Muslim Community and Literacy Integration” to “Global Deaf Muslim.” It took lot and long works to satisfy the requirements for name change.
To prove that we changed our name, please go to here. Type “Global Deaf Muslim” for entity name. You will then find our name.
The next step is to have IRS to accept our name change to grant GDM 501(c)3. The donations GDM receive in the past and from now on are still tax-exempted because we requested an advanced ruling that we are tax-exempted unless IRS said otherwise. When IRS granted us the tax exempt status, we will inform you and provide you the proof.
