With the name change approved by NY state and a call to IRS, President Nashiru finally obtained a formal approval of Global Deaf Muslim tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) 3. An official letter will be sent to President, which will be posted on GDM website.
Starting today, GDM can proclaim that it is a tax-exempt organization and is qualified to receive all qualified donations. The donors will receive a letter, acknowledging their donation so the donation can be claimed on the tax return.
