Social Service Funds

There are many deaf lacking funds or employment to pay for housing, bills, support themselves, transportation, school and etc.

Your donation to social funds is considered as a zakat to go toward

• Helping deaf brothers and sisters who struggle to pay rent, housing bills, support family, and transportation
• Allow us to provide accommodation to deaf attending conferences, food, and Iftar
• Deaf students who leave colleges or schools due to lack of funds
• Providing interpreters for Masjids to be separated from our general funds used for other important projects
• Those without homes
• Those without work

Right now, there are several deaf families facing financial stalemate and fear of losing their homes, being unable to provide for their kids, lacking funds to pay for electricity and other utilities.  This idea of Social Service Funds came about after mounting requests by our Deaf Community for financial assistances from GDM for a variety of reasons hence the decision to create such a fund to help alleviate the abovementioned necessities.
